- RADIAN developed the patent-pending Prizmatic Optimization technology and technique which includes a multi-spectral composite of retro-reflective and fluorescent materials that when applied to the WINGMAN device or ROAD WARRIOR garment, improves the visibility and detectability of Cyclists to the Radar, Camera-Vision, and Lidar sensors used in vehicle computer-assisted driver automation systems.
- Prizmatic Optimization improves the cyclist’s ability to generate raw signal data processed by vehicle object detection sensors and algorithms to enhance activation of Forward Collision Warning and Automatic Emergency Braking functions to better avoid collisions with cyclists.
- As observed during our testing, Prizmatic Optimization improves the quality and quantity of raw signal data that enhances the visible and detectable distance of the cyclist to the driver and the vehicle’s collision avoidance system.
